The Giving Heart

Everyone can use some assistance at one time or another, especially during times of serious illness, fire or other loss. The employees of your cooperative have assembled a program that provides such support, during those times when it's needed most. "The Giving Heart" is a program that has provided thousands of dollars of assistance to individuals and families around the area that have faced a traumatic event in their life.

Sponsorships

Whether its a county fair, rodeo, school sports or civic activity, your electric cooperative is counted-on every year to support many activities and events. Since Heartland delivers electric service into 11 counties in southeast Kansas, sponsorship activities take place throughout the year and take in a variety of activities. Fundraisers

Your electric cooperative plays an active role in the local community. One way local organizations and school groups can raise money for their projects is by assisting the co-op with its annual report and board election mailing. The annual project provides a great opportunity to raise money while simultaneously helping Heartland with a project that was sent out of the area for processing.

Civic Activities

Your cooperative contributes to the local economy by providing jobs, business expansions, as well contributing to local civic activities and scholastic events. Your co-op is an active participant and member of local chambers of commerce, philanthropic organizations and volunteer groups.
