Security Lighting

Members of Heartland Rural Electric Cooperative can request the installation of a 100 watt high pressure sodium area light. The light is leased to members at a cost of $3 per month in addition to the electricity that flows through the meter.

Because the area light remains owned by HREC, Heartland will maintain and repair the device whenever service is needed.

High pressure sodium area lights are being phased in as the old mercury vapor lights become obsolete and parts become unavailable.
