Heartland offers a variety of residential electric service rates depending on how you use electricity.

Heartland's GENERAL SERVICE RATE is 9.15 cents per kWh and covers a lot of homes and farms. Residential members of Heartland REC, along with schools, churches and small businesses, may qualify for the the HEAT PUMP RATE depending on what kind of heating system the home or building has. Special SEASONAL SERVICE rates are available for members with those unique needs.

Businesses can take advantage of our SMALL COMMERCIAL SERVICE or GENERAL COMMERCIAL SERVICE rates depending on whether their load requirements exceed 30 kW. Industries that are willing and able to control their peak usage can further lower energy costs through the GENERAL COMMERCIAL SERVICE rate.
