Heartland offers a variety of  residential electric service rates. Choose from Electric Heat, Heat Pump, General Service or Seasonal. If you are building in Heartland country, please contact the cooperative before you begin your construction process. You will receive prompt, personal attention to your energy and construction needs.

The Electric Heat rate is the rate class for members who use electricity exclusively to keep their home comfortable, cook their meals and keep their water hot. The electric Heat Pump rate class is available for members who use the power of electricity to efficiently heat and cool their home through an air-to-air or ground source heat pump. If you are considering installing a ground-source or air-to-air heat pump, please look at the attractive rebates your cooperative offers for installing these energy efficient systems. The General Service rate class is designed for members who use a combination of energies for their home. And finally, the Seasonal rate class is available for members who occasionally use their property for seasonal use and may not require year-round electric service.
