Heartland Rural
Electric Cooperative is one of the larger
electric
cooperatives
in Kansas.
Heartland
provides
electricity
and
other
energy
related
services
to
approximately
11,800
services
in
the
southeast
portion
of
the
state.
Heartland's
service
territory
includes 12 southeast Kansas counties, approximately 74,000 poles, and 3,800
miles
of
distribution
line. Heartland REC's dedicated employees are committed to deliver reliable electric
service and a better quality of life for you and your family.
In
order
to
receive
prompt,
personal
service,
Heartland
has
divided
the
system
into
three
service
areas.
The
northern
third
is
serviced
by
crews
located
in
Mound
City,
the
western
third
is
serviced
by
crews
located
in
Iola,
and
the
southern
third
is
serviced
from
Girard,
the
cooperative
headquarters.
