Time of Use EV

  • The Time of Use EV rate is similar to the Time of Use rate but provides a third, even cheaper time to use electricity
  • From midnight to 4 a.m., those on this rate can charge their electric vehicles for just over 4 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh)
  • Time of Use EV is available exclusively to owners of electric vehicles

  • Service availability charge: $39
  • Energy charge:
    • $0.192878 per kWh on peak (3 to 8 p.m.);
    • $0.083710 per kWh off peak (8 p.m. to midnight and 4 a.m. to 3 p.m.);
    • $0.040994 per kWh super-off-peak (midnight to 4 a.m.)
    • Same energy charges apply 365 days a year
  • Peak charge: none

Eligibility

  • Only consumer-members with level 2 or 3 electric vehicle chargers installed at their Heartland service locations are eligible for the Time of Use EV rate
  • An EV rebate process incorporating an inspection is in the works and may be required in order for a consumer-member to switch to the Time of Use EV rate in the future
