At an open meeting held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the Heartland office in Girard, the Heartland Rural Electric Cooperative Board of Directors voted to approve proposed changes to the rate schedules. The rates, which go into effect beginning October 2024, are designed to result in a 4.03% overall revenue increase in year one with additional revenue increases of 1.51% and 1.48% in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
